Oak Park Pool Rules

Basic Pool Rules
(Detailed rules are posted at the pools)

Showers are required before entering the pool.
Non potty-trained children must wear swim diapers, plastic pants, and swimsuit in the water.
Understand that lifeguards are on duty to enforce rules and respond to emergencies, not to supervise children. Parents are responsible for supervising their children.
Recreational floatation devices (i.e. water wings, rings, kickboards, rafts, and inflatable animals) are allowed in the main pool during Family Swim hours only. Flotation devices are limited to 3” x 5” x 2’. Small toys and floats are allowed in the Wading Pool at all times.
Lined swimsuits are required. Clothing such as cutoffs, workout clothing, leotards, etc. are not allowed in the pools.
As of January 1, 2003, the Park District of Oak Park has instituted a non-smoking policy in all parks and facilities. This policy will also apply to the sundecks at the pools.
